Revenue Cycle Senior Consultant – Knoxville
PYA is seeking experienced professionals to join our Revenue Cycle Services group focused on revenue cycle operations and performance improvement. The Senior Consultant will be part of a team that provides services to healthcare clients for assessment, analysis and implementation of improvements within the revenue cycle, particularly for hospitals and health systems.
Requirements
At least three years of experience in healthcare consulting with hospitals, health systems, and physician practices on assessment of revenue cycle processes, controls, and identification and achievement of improvement opportunities, including the functions of patient access; utilization review/utilization management; case management; chargemaster, charge capture, and reimbursement; health information management; business office operations (billing, posting, collections, and customer service); and underlying healthcare IT systems.
Candidates must be able to:
- Interact professionally with clients at all levels.
- Understand key processes and linkages throughout the revenue cycle.
- Thoroughly analyze and interpret information and data related to revenue cycle performance.
- Quantify identified improvement opportunities.
- Actively participate and lead segments of multiple projects through overlapping deadlines.
- Communicate effectively regarding the findings and recommendations resulting from each project, both in report writing and verbal, formal presentation form.
- Facilitate implementation of recommendations.
- Actively participate in interim management engagements.
- MBA or MHA
degree; CPA a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills,
process improvement and finance-related skills, and strong qualitative/quantitative
analytical skills using Microsoft Excel or Access; overlapping skills
in other areas of performance improvement (e.g., healthcare supply chain
operations) is also a plus.
- Overnight travel is required, and candidates must be willing to re-locate to Knoxville, Tennessee.
